I set upon a path quite unknown
With Life's blessing
I walked through Her portal
fearless and valiant
like a soldier through war
Patrolling here and there
I paced into the wilderness
With each stride,
My heart perceived:
My eyes memorised every movement
Every perished beast,
ravaged huntsman
and spirit of greed
My palms felt the untouched
I made my way through dead seas,
Detecting every sliver of man's greed.
I sank in deeper
exposing antique pieces,
Sunken vessels; rusted glasses
And lockets of gilt
I felt the bitterness of the blue
How had beauty been so concealed
those who saw it
were few and far in between
The dead were once alive
yet how was it that the alien quarter
had incarnations that congested it
The serene atmosphere,
lacked every sorrow
That could possibly ever subsist
I saw the glowing coral
full in its beauty
perfect in its balance
The wondrous undergrowths
Leisurely swinging
As if nowhere to be
The spirit blushed
its tinges engulfed me further
Only making my selfish heart curious
Just like the sun renews its energy after a dark night,
A new path unravels after hasty crime,
A fresh era begins after a lengthy time,
A soul breathes life into the form of mankind
Life too revives its materials
As man turns to stone,
Stone to fire
fire to ash
ash to earth
and earth to water
She remakes all
and ends the suffering
that eats at our world
Now I recognise why she sent me here
For it was not a curse,
But a blessing indeed
As my soul fills with glee
She shows me the light, the dark and all that was left to see
and waves like a mother to her child
As I am set free.
